The Lucinda Bar is named for the Queensland Government’s paddle-steamer, built in 1884 to service Queensland lighthouses and deliver mail along the coast, as well as being used for ministerial visits, meetings and excursions on the river. It was retired in 1923, and the curved wooden bar and wooden panelling salvaged from the once-graceful yacht.

Steeped in history and character, The Lucinda Bar, which retains many of its original features, such as the parquet floors, ornate plasterwork and coffered ceiling is an ideal location for networking events, private lunches or intimate cocktail receptions.

As a bonus, a small balustraded terrace offers a view across the Brisbane River to the West of Brisbane.

The Lucinda Bar is open to the general public between 12:00pm and 2.00pm Wednesday*, Thursday* and Fridays, and 5:30pm-9:00pm on Fridays only.
