As part of our Queensland-first spirit list, guests can now enjoy Cauldron Distillery spirits across Queensland Parliament’s dining venues.
“Three mates walked into a bar… and never left.”
What began as a running joke between brothers Darren Stewart & Glen Stewart and great mate Greg Dower became reality in 2020, when they turned their shared dream into Cauldron Distillery, an artisan distillery and bar born in the tough days of COVID.
From those humble beginnings, Cauldron has grown into a much-loved destination on Tamborine Mountain. Locals and visitors alike make the trip for handcrafted spirits, inventive cocktails, and the kind of warm, genuine hospitality that turns a visit into a ritual.
Now, Cauldron’s story is being poured into glasses at Queensland Parliament.
A Scenic Rim spirit with a strong sense of place
Nestled on Tamborine Mountain in Queensland’s beautiful Scenic Rim, Cauldron Distillery is proudly family-owned and passionately independent. Surrounded by lush rainforest and fertile farmland, the team draws inspiration from the landscape and the close-knit community around them.
In their purpose-built stillhouse, Cauldron produces a broad range of premium Australian spirits, including:
- Gin
- Agave spirit
- Vodka
- Brandy
- Whisky
- Liqueurs and aperitifs
Each small batch is crafted with care and curiosity, with an emphasis on flavour, quality ingredients, and a clear sense of place. It’s this combination of craft and character that made Cauldron a natural fit for Queensland Parliament Dining.

A Must-Visit Destination in the Scenic Rim
Cauldron’s vision is simple and ambitious: to be one of Queensland’s must-visit destinations and a driving force in the state’s food, beverage, and tourism economy.
As a multi-award-winning distillery, Cauldron draws visitors from around Australia and overseas. They come to discover Australian craft spirits, explore the Scenic Rim, and experience Queensland’s relaxed, welcoming lifestyle.
By showcasing Cauldron and other Queensland distillers on our menus, Queensland Parliament Dining is proud to help “put Queensland on the map” for lovers of great food and drink, including the lifestyle seekers and cultural foodies who visit our precinct for events, tours and dining.

Showcasing Queensland, one glass at a time
There’s something special about enjoying a carefully made beverage just steps from where Queensland’s big decisions are made, and now, the spirits in those glasses tell a distinctly Queensland story.
Through a collaboration with the Queensland Distillers Association, and with the support of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Mr Pat Weir MP, Lucinda Bar and Strangers’ Restaurant have transformed their spirit offering to focus on locally made products.
This initiative reflects Queensland Parliament’s ongoing commitment to supporting local industry and showcasing the best Queensland has to offer. From the coast to the country, each distiller brings its own story, craftsmanship and flavour to our precinct.
Cauldron Distillery is just one of the exceptional local producers featured through our partnership with the Queensland Distillers Association and our commitment to stocking Queensland-made spirits.
Together with Cauldron and other Queensland distillers, we’re raising a glass to local craft – and sharing their stories, one pour at a time.
