While the weather outside was cold, the atmosphere inside Strangers’ Restaurant was warm and inviting as guests gathered for the annual Christmas in July dinner.
On Friday, 19 July 2024, Strangers’ Restaurant welcomed over 60 guests to enjoy a special Christmas-themed event. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a magical Christmas in July ambiance, complete with bonbons on the table and beautifully decorated Christmas trees.
A Festive Welcome to Christmas in July
Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with an optional glass of mulled wine in the Lucinda Bar, setting a warm and festive tone for the evening. The culinary journey for the evening continued in Strangers’ Restaurant with a delectable three-course menu. The meal began with a Mooloolaba prawn cocktail, showcasing the best of Queensland’s local seafood, followed by a hearty main course of Wagyu short rib, one of Chef Anthony Naylor’s specialties. The evening concluded on a sweet note with a modern twist on the traditional Lions Club Christmas pudding, presented as a parfait that delighted the crowd with its unique and creative flair. Guests savoured each holiday-inspired dish, with the innovative take on the Lions Club Christmas pudding being a standout favourite for many.
