Through collaboration with the Queensland Distillers Association and with the support of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Mr Pat Weir MP, Lucinda Bar and Strangers’ Restaurant have proudly transformed their spirit offering to focus exclusively on locally made products. This new approach shines a spotlight on the state’s exceptional distillers and craft producers.
This initiative reflects Queensland Parliament’s ongoing commitment to supporting local industry and showcasing the best our regions have to offer. From the coast to the country, each distiller brings its own unique story, craftsmanship, and flavour to our precinct.

Queensland Distillers meet at Parliament
On Wednesday, 15 October, Queensland spirit producers joined Members of Parliament for Showcasing Queensland. Members explored the state’s growing distilling industry, its craft, provenance and regional diversity, and sampled spirits now served at, or being considered for, Lucinda Bar and Strangers’ Restaurant.
